Pastor’s Page
Winter has arrived in Indianapolis, and our church is aware of the burden the long cold months ahead will have on the people in our community. We hope all of our members and friends will stay warm in their homes but also faithful to God’s house. Truly, the warmth of Christian fellowship is hard to beat! Yet, many are homeless just outside our doors, and we are doing our part to help provide for them. Our missions committee is busy organizing outreach efforts to help clothe and feed those in need during this winter season. Please make every effort to help out in any way you can. Keep your eye on the church bulletin for ways you can contribute. Old clothes that we might throw away may be the difference between life and death to somebody else. Jesus was compassionate on the multitudes; my prayer is that we will be like Him in this respect.
January has brought in a new and exciting year. Our annual elections are over, and many will be starting in new roles in the church, though we do have several other pastor-appointed positions that need to be filled. Please pray for God’s leading in filling these that we may begin the work required. We are grateful for all who worked so hard last year to make Landmark the best church she could be for the Lord. My prayer is that the spirit and harmony of our fellowship will only be stronger this year.
Our goal above all is to reach many more souls for Jesus. Please pray for our bus ministry, that we can use it to reach many. Pray for our young people to be dedicated to the Lord and encouraged through our youth rallies, lock-ins, and fellowships. Pray for our Sunday School to grow and to educate all ages on the principles of God’s Word. And finally, pray for one another, that God will bless and Satan will stay away. I can hardly wait to see what 2012 brings to Landmark Baptist!
God bless,
Pastor Scott Mauldin
